Where Does the Time Go?

I often find myself wondering where in the world the time goes. I cannot believe that Shelby will be 8 months old March 4th. It seems like yesterday we were at the hospital with her. That was the best day of my life.....and it just keeps continuing with everyday. Shelby amazes us more and more everyday. She is definitely the light of my life.

On another note, I cannot come to terms with the fact that I will be 30 in a few short days. I think of all that I have done in my soon to be 30 years and I am so thankful for all that I have. A lot has gone on in my life, some wonderful things and some not so good. But hey, we learn from things and just "go on". I have the best friends and family anyone could ask for.
I am really looking forward to my birthday party. It should definitely make turning 30 a piece of cake. I plan on celebrating to the fullest. Oh, did I forget to mention that it is Mike's birthday party too, he will be turning 40 at the end of March. On a positive note, he will always be older than I am hehehe!

I will be sure to post pics later of our "Big Bash"!

Best Friends

Shelby has two of the best friends in the world, wonder why? Their mommies are my best friends so how could it be wrong.... They just love spending time together. Ragen will soon be a year old and she is all over the place. She will be walking soon and then, watch out! Lacy is sitting up well and loves to stand (with help of course). Shelby loves to be on the floor playing with her toys, she loves rolling over and laughing at herself. We are going to have our hands full when they are all mobile. Hopefully they will get along well together and "share". Lacy and Shelby go to daycare together so they will be taught how to share with each other there, that will make it easier for me and Robin.

These girls just don't know what we have in store for them....it is going to be great!

Family

Shelby loves spending time with her family and as always they are always happy to see her.
Great grandma and pawpaw just love when Shelby comes to visit them.

February 2010

So, Shelby is growing by leaps and bounds daily it seems. I was just reflecting last night on how much she is growing as she sat in her walker and I noticed her feet could now touch the floor.

She now has two teeth coming in, they are right in the front on the bottom. I think we will have better nights for a while now that they are not causing her pain. She puts everything in her mouth at this point, just to

Baby Kendall

Will update and post more pics soon!

Kendall Faith Bowman made her grand entrance into the world on January 26th at 6:20. She weighed in at 7lb 15oz and was 21 inches long. She has dark hair, not as much as Aubrie did when she was born though. She is the cutest thing. We are so glad we have a new niece.

Aubrie was so excited, she said "she is so tiny". She is going to be a great big sister.

Matt, Stephanie and Kendall are doing great.

6 months

Shelby went for her 6 month appointment and we got all good reports.
Aside from all 6 of the shots she got she was a good girl. She now weighs 15lb 13oz and is 25 inches long. She is growing up so fast. She is eating really good. I think green beans are at the top of her list. We have given her juice once, in a bottle. She is now the owner of her very first sippy cup but it will take some practice before she gets to use it with her juice. We have recently moved her into the real bath tub and she seems to really like it. I think we are going to have a water baby on our hands judging by bathtime.

Christmas

Shelby had a great 1st Christmas. Mommy and daddy had a good one too.
I know she will know more of what is going on next year but we had fun practicing.
Shelby got lots of new toys that of course light up and make noises. She also got a new walker. She may be a little small for it now but "watch out" when she does start moving in it....

It is so great to see her happy and smiling at her toys. I have yet to figure out which one is her favorite, probably because she needs to sit up a littl better to enjoy most of them. That won't be too long though. She is such a joy to our lives. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful family.
Shelby will soon be 6 months old, I cannot believe it... I will update on all the new details since her last visit soon!
